General contractor: "Corporation Inzhtransstroy."

Site location:

Track Formula 1 is integrated into the Olympic Park, the buildings are located in the immediate vicinity of the railway station "Media Center" and adjacent to roads, specially allocated for the needs of the Olympic Games and connecting this facility to the airport. This provides the most convenient access to all transport systems.

Track itself has a total length of 5872 m (in the plane) from 11 right turns and 5 left turns, the participants go around the track clockwise. The width of the route is usually about 13 m In some places the width varies from 13 meters at its narrowest point and 15 m on a straight section of the start / finish line.

The track has a variety of high-speed turns, straight sections to speed and service area provide high lateral loads and cause an overload for race cars and drivers.
Straight section of the start / finish between the pit-box and provides the main platform for the audience a spectacular view.

Straight section between turns 1 and 2 has a total length of about 650 m and can accelerate to a top speed of 321 km / h This maximum rate is the result of acceleration on the same property for a set rate of 1,155 m in length, which begins after the last 16 turns.
For 3 turns, which is a very quick turnaround on a trajectory in the form of the letter "omega", you can accelerate to a speed of 305 km / h, this is a very serious challenge for pilots, which requires excellent driving skills and is a very exciting spectacle for the audience.
High on a combination of left and right turn number 9 and number 10, a Formula 1 car will pick up speed to 314 km / h, and by 10 fold rotation speed up to 109 km / h, experiencing high brake overload.

In the first phase of construction involves construction of the following buildings:

The Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix is scheduled to be held in 2014, a few months after the 2014 winter olympics in Sochi Russia.  Basically, the entire Olympic site will be transformed into a permanent Formula 1 circuit.  Logistically it will be rough to meet the 2014 deadline, but with the billions being spent to make the olympic villiage and arenas, the Formula 1 circuit at this site makes great sense moving forward.  Here is a map to help you get a sense of where the city of Sochi Russia is, and the a detailed drawing of the Olympic/F1 Russian circuit will be...and yes it will be another Tilke circuit.
